Sassy and How to Hack Birth Control (2022) have smashed the 2022 & 2023 festival circuit with official selections at over 60 festivals, including the upcoming Nashville Film Festival, and prestigious festivals such as Geena Davis' Bentonville Film Festival, NewFilmmakers LA, and Harlem Int. Film Festival. It has won 23 awards and 10 nominations and counting, including BEST PICTURE at the Austin Comedy Film Festival; BEST DIRECTOR at the First Glance Film Festival and Astoria Int. Film Festival; BEST SERIES & BEST SERIOUS PILOT at over a dozen festivals including the Hollywood Comedy Shorts Film Festival, We Make Movies Film Festival, and New York CineFest; BEST SCREENWRITING at the Poppy Jasper Int. Film Festival and BEST PRODUCED FILM at the Broad Humor Film Festival.
In 2023, the City of West Hollywood and its Women’s Advisory Board voted unanimously to endorse the project and has set up special screening events of it for its members and the community. The project has also picked up endorsements from NARAL - Pro-choice America, SheNYC Arts & Truth be Told.
